My FBI career began in early January 2005 when I became an intelligence analyst in the Counterintelligence Division at FBI Headquarters. I currently supervise the Cross Programs Squad in Norfolk.
I began my career working counterterrorism as an analyst with the FBI and with the National Counterterrorism Center. I was later promoted to supervisory special agent working national security matters in San Antonio, Texas.
I have been an FBI special agent for 11 years and currently serve in the Salt Lake City Field Office as associate division counsel providing legal counsel on all operational and administrative matters in Utah, Idaho, and Montana.
I joined the FBI in 1997 and was so fortunate to be assigned to the Richmond Division directly from Quantico. I chose to remain there for my entire 25-year career. I started off investigating bank robberies, fugitives, and crimes against children.
I joined the FBI in June 2003—on a Friday, I was a prosecutor with the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., and the following Monday, I was in new agent class.
Upon my arrival to the San Diego Division, I was assigned to the Violent Crime Task Force, where I investigated crimes against children, bank robberies, kidnappings, international murders, and other violent offenses.
I’m an energetic and happy-go-lucky kind of gal who has had the amazing privilege of spending the last 12 years investigating violent crime and major drug trade organizations.
When I raised my hand and took the oath to support and defend the Constitution, I had no idea what my journey would entail, but as I reflect on the past decade, it has been a truly rewarding and humbling experience.
